Does anyone else name their girls after people, etc?

i'm in biology today and i was just wondering sumthing; does anyone else name their Blythe girls after specific people, etc? i know i do. my first blythe is named Morrison bc of jim morrison, of whom im a huge fan (is that even worded right? lol). my second girl, flannery, is named flannery bc of the totally awesome southern writer flannery o'connor. and lucy is named lucy bc of the beatles song 'lucy in the sky with diamonds', one of my fav songs. just wondering if u guys do the same thing? keep reading blythe mommas! xx

The finished MORRISON!

SO i finally finished Morrison, and did sum work on Flannery and Lucy while i was at it! i'm going to include a pic of Morrison. In case ur wondering, i changed her pull string and pull string charm, changed her scalp, sandmatted her, gave her 'sleepy eyes', changed her lip color and of course gave her freckles! im so glad it turned out. The licca body didnt turn out so i put it on Flannery; i'll include pix of flannery and lucy within the next few days. scriptfrenzy is coming up, but dont worry ill still be blogging! take care all! xx

Morrison in Minnesota!

So since I've been customizing Morrison, she's kinda been out of the spotlight compared to Lucy and Flannery. But not today. Today i took sum really cute pix with her! i LOVE her new freckles and lipstick; i just cant get over how cute it is. morrison and lucy really seem to like minnesota; the weather had been really nice, except today it got really cold all of a sudden; crazy! anyways, just thought i would update u guys, and i saw that there is a new follower, so i'm up to 5 now! it doesnt seem like much but ill give it time lol. thx so much guys ur the BEST!

So today I sand matted Morrison, which was no easy thing to do considering i didnt have the right size screwdrivers and left her faceplate on! but i think she turned out just fine; i think she looks better than before, don't you? Much more glamorous, which kinda just happened half way through her makeover, lol. i think the lipstick goes really well with her green eyes; keep rockin' Morrison, altho there's more to come! here's a pic!

costomizing frusturations!

ok so today there have been a lot of argh moments in the customizing of Morrison. I spent at LEAST an hour trying to reroot Morrison's hair, but just couldnt get the right thickness; any advice is welcome. Then i found out (on the back of Morrison's head, thankfully) that sandpaper is much more coarse than sand sponges. I'm hoping to get the sand sponges in the mail tomorrow, along with a few other things, like a set of tiny screwdrivers, which should make sand matting her easier since im completely new to all of this. any advice about rerooting is welcome!

Today: Sandmatting Morrison!

So today is the big day; well one of them: i'm going to sand matte Morrison! me and her r both very excited. and i just checked the status of the package, and it's just been delivered, which is very cool. thank god for the puchi collective website and this is blythe forum or id be totally lost. anyways just thought i would update u guys; this is really starting to get exciting!

but there was a snow storm last tuesday!

yes, there was a snow storm here last tuesday; you would never have guessed it judging from how things have been lately. anyways, Flannery was BEGGING to go out in it, so i took sum really cute pictures; this place is crazy when it snows! here's a cute pic of Flannery, mugging it up! She found this tree and just had to have a pic in it it! lol

My girls are loving this weather!

so for the past 2 days the weather here in GA has been AMAZING! Flannery and Lucy just love it. Morrison would be loving it too, unfourunately she's a little under the weather; sorry, bad pun couldnt resist. I took sum really cute pix of Lucy on Sunday where i go to school; the campus is so pretty in the spring bc it's in the north ga mountains. here's my fav pic, it's in what we here call the sunken garden behind the fine arts building. ttfn!

Morrison Without Hair!

Morrison is eagerly anticipating her new scalp and new hair, even tho it will be a little while since this is my first customizing project and i want it to go well. i've heard it takes ages to weave hair into a scalp, but ill do it! lol. i bought sum orange-red mohair off etsy; it's going to be so pretty. I was working on Morrison today and cut my fingernail; OUCH! it really hurt, and still does, im just hoping it doesnt get infected. Morrison is enjoying lounging around and having sum quiet time, away from her little sisters (Flannery and Lucy). But she is very excited to. Here is a picture of Morrison once i removed her scalp. She's a ADG, so there is still a LOT of gluey hair bits that i plan on sanding off when my sandpaper comes in the mail. that's it for now!

The first stage: the scalp!

So last night, i scalped Morrison, which was not easy if u dont have 3 hands, as sumone in a youtube video said! lol. but i did it. she is currently wearing her pink and purple wig and waiting, very patiently bc she is awesome lol, for my to get the new scalp and hair so i can reroot her. i havent decided whether to use her old scalp or the new scalp but i think im going to use the new one bc i think it will turn out better that way. i hear using a scalp that already has holes can lead to breakage and the like, which would not be a good thing! hopefully the rest on the goodies i ordered get here soon!

I bought sum customization goodies!

yes, it's true! after about three months with Morrison, i've finally psyched myself up enough to do sum customizations on her, so i ordered sum things offline! i hope they come soon. i plan on giving her 'sleepy eyes,' or eyes that close completly so it looks like she is sleeping. ive heard its an easy customization but im still a little nervous. also im going to sand matte her, which shouldnt be too hard. i just hope the things i ordered online get here soon! ttfn

Blythe Momma's unite!

I dunno about u guys, but i love Blythe dolls! i think they are just adorable. i have three; Morrison, (an ADG PLeasant Peasant), Flannery (a Takara Simply Lilac), and my newest girl, Lucy (A Takara ice rune).
